Lamb of God's new song "The Duke" delivers a message of mortality and is also the title of their new EP being released November 18th. The new single is dedicated to Wayne Ford, a fan and friend of the band who passed away in 2015 after battling leukemia. Randy Blythe and Ford became friends in 2012 at a Lamb of God concert when Blythe heard about Ford being diagnosed with cancer. "The Duke" had originally been set to be featured on Lamb of God's album track list, but with the nature of the lyrics inspired by Wayne Ford's story, the band decided to dedicate the song to Ford on the new EP. Blythe hopes The Duke will raise leukemia and blood marrow donor awareness. The moving full story of Randy and Wayne's friendship is featured on their website here. Pre-orders for The Duke are available today. Listen to the new single below.
